ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR DATABASE SYSTEM

In 2003 Access Services was commissioned to write a software management system for a York based Electrical Contractor.  That system is now well established and the system has been further developed to make it available to any Electrical Contractor business in the UK.

It seems that there is nothing on the market quite like the system we have developed – it is unique and sits neatly between quotations/job generation and the business accounts.

So what does it do?
Well, quite a lot, but here's a flavour of its functionality:

  • Keeps records of your clients and client contacts
  • Keeps records of the jobs undertaken, addresses and the costs involved in carrying out each job
  • Creates Job sheets
  • Creates Client Invoices
  • Creates Invoices for Interim payments with/without Retentions
  • Ensures all jobs undertaken are invoiced
  • Prints timely reminders of overdue invoices
  • Produces a Gross Profit report per job and per period e.g. 1 month
  • Calculates and reports when Retentions are due
  • Summarises Electricians' hours per period for reconciliation with timesheets
  • Summarises materials used per period for reconciliation with Supplier invoices
  • Interface with Sage Accounts or other proprietary computerised accounts package if required

There is more, but what it amounts to is a complete Client management system for Electrical Contractors.  It delivers efficiency, control, saves time and money.  The interface is simple to use and is customised for your business - logo, address, etc.  Existing data can be imported to ensure continuity.

We have built a demonstration version, complete with sample data, but otherwise a fully working copy which we would be happy to let prospective clients have free of charge so that it may be evaluated against their own data.  Once approved we would replace the demo version with a customised new clean copy.

The cost?

Just £55.00 per month over 12 months or a one-off payment of £600.  There is no annual licence or maintenance fee and the program comes free of any locks so with the right skills you can tweak/change the program yourself.
